Job summary

Regency on Whidbey, a retirement, assisted living and memory care community, is hiring a compassionate cook to join our team in Whidbey Island, WA. The role supports meals preparation, food service operations, and ensures residents receive nourishing, timely meals.

You'll work in both Assisted Living and Memory Care Units on full-time schedules (Sun/Mon/Tues, 10-hour shifts) and follow state sanitation codes while maintaining a safe, clean kitchen and inventory control. English literacy required.

Qualifications

• Can obtain Food Handler's card. Meet all mandatory health requirements by State regulations.
• Typical candidates have one year of cooking experience.
• Read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food to residents within the scheduled timeframe.
• Follow menu cycle, noting changes or substitutions made on proper form
• Clean and maintains a neat, safe working environment, including the kitchen and food service areas
• Comply with state sanitation codes
• Maintain inventory control, places food orders, verifies that items are received appropriately, and restock appropriately
• Ensure that resident food preferences are known and followed

Sun/Mon/Tues- 10 Hour Shifts
