Job description

We have a full-time & part-time opening for Cook(s) at - The Den Restaurant in downtown Houghton, MI 49931.

Must be able to work various shifts per week, weekends & holidays.

Wage: $17-22/hr

Additional Info: Minimum Age: 16+ years old.

Primary Responsibilities

Completes all assigned prep work and mise en place. Maintains product presentations, product quality, consistency and cook time standards.

Duties

• Prepares menu items accordingly
• Completes all prep work in the amount of time given and sets up mise en place
• Practices sanitary and safe food handling at all times
• Works clean and fast, keeping work area properly cleaned & sanitized
• Completes assigned daily and weekly cleaning projects
• Handles light paperwork, ordering and daily deposits
• Reading, writing and verbal communication skills required
• Capable of using knives, slicing equipment and other food preparation equipment in a smart and safe way
• Complete mobility required during the entire shift including lifting of 25+ lbs
