Job summary

Raybrook Manor Campus of Holland Home in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Full-Time Cook to join our dining services team. You will prepare meals for residents and staff, following standardized recipes and strict safety standards.

The role is full-time, 32 hours per week, from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, with every other weekend and a holiday rotation. Wages are based on experience, with yearly wage increases and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Six months to one year of cooking experience required; preference for large-scale food preparation.
• Completion of Food Safety Training for Food Service Workers within 90 days of hire.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and cooks meals for residents and staff using standardized recipes and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Ensures all food items meet standards for temperature, quality, and appearance.
• Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies.
• Prepare food for service (vegetables, meat, sauces).
• Clean up stations and manage leftovers.
• Stock inventory appropriately.
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.

Full-Time Cook

Responsibilities And Duties

• Prepares and cooks food for residents and staff using standardized recipes and complying with regulatory requirements
• Assures that all prepared food items meet standards for temperature, quality, consistency, freshness, taste, and appearance
• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
• Prepare food for service (chopping vegetables, butchering meat, crafting sauces)
• Clean up the station and take care of leftover food
• Stock inventory appropriately
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Required/Preferred Experience
