Creative Dining Services is seeking a Full Time Cook for Royal Park Place Atrium in Zeeland, MI. You’ll prepare meals from scratch, manage batch and to-order cooking, and ensure high quality for our senior dining program. A $300 signing bonus applies after 60 days on the job.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of relevant experience, ServSafe preferred, and a HS diploma or equivalent. Weekend availability required; benefits include health options, retirement plans, and more.

$300.00 signing bonus after 60 days completed on the job!

• Drug Screen, fingerprinting and background check are required at this location.

Schedule: 10am-6:30pm varying days. Weekend availability required.

Core Responsibilities:

• Time food production such that all food is ready at the time of service and prepare food items according to established recipes and menus in a manner in which preserves food freshness, quality and appeal
• Utilize batch cooking techniques to avoid over or under production
• Utilize safe food handling techniques at all times and store food items according to established standards of practice; utilize proper labeling and dating
• Maintain production records
• Maintain a clean and sanitized work area
• Follow established work rules and regulations
• If work shift requires, properly open and/or close the kitchen - unlocking/locking doors & secured areas, and turning on/turning off of all equipment essential to the operation
• Maintain a safe, tidy and well-organized work environment at all times; clean up spills quickly, wear protective gear as needed (ie: slicer glove), and store wares safely
• Support other kitchen employees in assuring that the essential functions of the kitchen are performed adequately and appropriately
• Be proactive in communication; monitor communication posting areas closely
• Assist management personnel in ordering and inventory procedures
• Removal of refuse as needed
• Putting away/Pulling stock as needed

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Minimum of 2 years batch and "to order" cooking experience
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
• ServSafe Certification preferred
• Ability to cook "from scratch" recipes, make soups, cook various proteins and vegetables. Cook to order for substitutions.
