Job summary

CIVANA Wellness Resort & Spa is seeking a passionate Line Cook to join their team. This full-time position is ideal for those who love health and wellness and have a strong background in kitchen operations.

As a Line Cook, you will manage inventory, maintain equipment, and prepare meals to high standards while complying with sanitation regulations. Join a team dedicated to exceptional hospitality in a wellness-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience as a Line Cook.
• Previous hotel/resort experience preferred.
• Willing to work all shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Current Maricopa County Food Handlers Card required.
• Ability to work standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Maintain supplies inventory and anticipate needs.
• Keep equipment operating and perform maintenance.
• Complete meal preparation and verify taste.
• Present meals using plates and dishes.
• Control costs by adhering to recipes.
• Maintain a sanitary kitchen according to codes.

IDEAL CANDIDATES

We are seeking exceptional individuals who are passionate, service-oriented, positive and hard-working with a love for health and wellness, and an excitement for hospitality.

This is Regular Full Time position.

Job Duties

• Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock; anticipating needs; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
• Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; performing preventive and cleaning maintenance; calling for repairs.
• Completes meal preparation by grilling, sauteing, roasting, frying, and broiling ingredients; verifying doneness and taste; assembling and refrigerating cold ingredients.
• Presents meals by placing and arranging hot and cold elements using plates, dishes, bowls, and baskets.
• Controls costs by adhering to recipes; following preparation standards.
• Maintains a sanitary kitchen by adhering to state and local sanitation, storage, and refrigeration requirements and codes; cleaning equipment.

Qualifications

• Three - five years’ experience as Line Cook
• Previous hotel/resort experience preferred
• Willing and able to work all shifts including weekends/holidays
• Current Maricopa County Food Handlers Card required
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
