Job summary

HMR Veteran's Services, LLC is seeking a Nursing Home Cook to prepare meals for veteran residents, accommodating individual dietary needs and events. You will ensure high-quality food, exceptional service to residents, and maintain safety and sanitation in the Dietary Services Department.

Requires a high school diploma or GED, knowledge of food prep and sanitation, and healthcare cooking experience preferred. Equal opportunity employer with comprehensive benefits.

• Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, and hygienic practices.
• One year of cooking experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Other cooking experience or completion of a cook's training program will be considered.

• The Cook prepares meals for special events as needed and ensures highest quality of prepared food items.

Responsibilites

The Nursing Home Cook prepares meals for our Veteran residents which meet their individual needs.
The Cook also prepares meals for special events as needed. Our Cooks are responsible for ensuring the highest quality of prepared food items, excellent service to our Veteran residents, and the safety and sanitation of the Dietary Services Department.

Key Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent (GED)


• Must have knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, and hygienic practices.


• One-year of cooking experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.


• Other cooking experience or successful completion of a cook's training program (not a class) will be considered.
