Position Overview

The Restaurant Cook will oversee the day-to-day operation of the grill and food prep in the restaurant. The cook will be responsible for proper food preparation, handling, and storage. This person is expected to provide excellent customer service and work as a strong team member alongside our franchise partner.

Responsibilities

• Report to work on time in a clean and complete proper uniform.
• Greet all customers with a smile and a verbal greeting, such as "GOOD MORNING" or "WELCOME TO HUDDLE HOUSE".
• Prepare food in a timely manner once the order is placed.
• Complete the position checklist while stocking and preparing the unit for the next shift.
• Keep the work area clean at all times using all tools provided by the manager.
• Report any concerns immediately to the manager, especially safety issues and customer service complaints.
• Know the menu and daily features when applicable, ensuring they are cooked and presented correctly.
• Understand your duties and those of your coworkers to maximize teamwork.
• Follow the Huddle House steps of service with each guest to maximize shift sales.
• Adhere to all safety, food handling, cash security, and restaurant policies.
• Perform all prepping and cleaning duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• Control food costs by managing waste and portion sizes.

Qualifications

• Effective communication skills with all restaurant staff.
• Previous restaurant experience preferred.
