BSA Health System in Amarillo, TX is hiring an evening-shift, full-time Cafeteria Cook. You will prepare, season, and cook meals for patients, cafeteria customers, physicians, and staff following standardized recipes and safety regulations.

Requirements include at least 1 year of institutional or hospital food service experience, and certifications such as a Texas Food Handler and ServSafe Manager. High School diploma or equivalent preferred, with potential for advancement within our health

• This position supports clinical nutrition services by ensuring meals are prepared accurately, safely, and in a timely manner to meet patient care standards.

The Cook is responsible for preparing, seasoning, and cooking food for patients, cafeteria customers, physicians, and staff in accordance with standardized recipes, therapeutic diet requirements, food safety regulations, and departmental policies. This position supports clinical nutrition services by ensuring meals are prepared accurately, safely, and in a timely manner to meet patient care standards.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• One (1) year of institutional, hospital, or high-volume food service experience.
• Texas Food Handler Certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire).

Preferred Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in healthcare, institutional food service, or high-volume food production.
• ServSafe Food Protection Manager certification or obtained within 30 days of hire.
