Job summary

BSA Hospital in Amarillo, TX is seeking a day-shift, full-time Cafeteria Cook to prepare, season, and cook meals for patients, cafeteria guests, physicians and staff in accordance with approved recipes and therapeutic diet requirements.

You will ensure meals are prepared safely, on time, and in compliance with food safety regulations and departmental policies, supporting clinical nutrition services and patient care standards in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of institutional, hospital, or high-volume food service experience.
• Texas Food Handler Certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire).
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in healthcare, institutional food service, or high-volume food production.
• ServSafe Food Protection Manager certification or obtained within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, season, and cook food for patients, cafeteria customers, physicians and staff in accordance with standardized recipes, therapeutic diet requirements, food safety regulations, and departmental policies.
• Ensure meals are prepared safely and in a timely manner to meet patient care standards and in compliance with food safety regulations.
