Job summary

BNY's Summer Internship Program – Office of the COO offers a 10-week experience designed to accelerate development and provide meaningful exposure to a leading global financial services institution. Interns will gain hands-on project work, structured mentorship, and cross-practice exposure, building a broad understanding of the enterprise, platforms, and governance practices that power the organization.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a 4-year undergraduate degree program with a focus on business or technology preferred.
• Graduating in Dec 2027 or May 2028 (U.S.).
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.
• Does not require sponsorship for employment visa status in the country where applying.

Responsibilities

• Support COO day-to-day activities and strategic initiatives.
• Conduct research and analysis on operational processes, performance metrics, and business priorities.
• Help track action items, risks, milestones, and deliverables across ongoing projects.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency.
• Assist with documentation of business procedures, workflows, and governance materials.
• Support AI initiatives by researching use cases and documenting opportunities.
