Job summary

BMO is seeking students for a U.S. COO Summer Internship in Chicago. The 10-week program focuses on strategy, analytics, transformation, and operations within the COO organization.

Interns will build foundational knowledge of BMO and the financial services industry while delivering stakeholder-ready insights and recommendations. Responsibilities include data analysis, dashboard development, governance support, and presenting findings to leadership.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree with expected graduation between December 2027 and June 2028.
• Available to work full-time for the full 10-week internship in Chicago.
• Interest in business strategy, analytics, operations, transformation, governance, or risk.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to organize information.
• Analytical/problem-solving ability with capacity to develop practical recommendations.
• Ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing priorities, and manage deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support research, analysis, development, and execution of business initiatives.
• Analyze data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and insights.
• Help develop dashboards, reports, and governance materials.
• Prepare stakeholder-ready presentations and written communications.
• Collaborate across teams to clarify needs and support outcomes.
• Assist with process improvement, governance, or change-management activities.
