Job summary

Chaffin Luhana LLP in New York City seeks a full-time COO to become the senior-most business leader, reporting directly to the two founders. You will run the entire business—marketing, intake, client experience, finance, people, and technology—while shaping the firm’s future.

The role emphasizes building robust reporting and analytics, defining KPIs, and developing leaders across functions. This is an in-person role with travel to support multi-office operations and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• Proven operating leadership across multiple functions in a professional services setting.
• Experience implementing EOS or equivalent operating systems is a plus.
• Strong financial fluency including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Ability to translate strategy into actionable plans and clear ownership.
• Comfort leading cross-functional teams and making tough decisions.

Responsibilities

• Run the entire business: marketing, intake, client experience, finance, people, and technology.
• Build and own the reporting and analytics backbone; define KPIs and dashboards.
• Lead department heads, address commitments, and develop managers.
• Partner with founders on strategy, investments, and resource planning.
• Ensure client service excellence while maintaining financial discipline.
