Job summary

The Los Angeles area-based toy company seeks an accomplished Chief Operating Officer to partner closely with the CEO and drive the next growth phase. This hands-on role oversees finance, operations, supply chain and revenue drivers, delivering disciplined planning, performance measurement and scalable processes.

The COO will lead a high-impact leadership team, establish KPIs, and maintain the entrepreneurial culture while scaling a private-equity-like growth trajectory.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive leadership experience, ideally in toys or related consumer products.
• Currently operating at VP/SVP or similar executive level with broad responsibility.
• Proven ability to lead in an entrepreneurial, founder-led environment.
• Strong financial acumen with P&L, budgeting, cash flow and reporting experience.
• Experience with overseas manufacturing, inventory, supply chain and major retailers.

Responsibilities

• Serve as strategic and operating partner to the CEO and translate objectives into priorities.
• Provide day-to-day operational leadership with accountability and visibility.
• Lead finance and accounting functions including budgeting, forecasting and controls.
• Evaluate finance structure and talent to support future growth.
• Establish KPIs to improve visibility and decision-making.
• Drive operating discipline while preserving founder-led speed and flexibility.
• Assess organizational structure and leadership capabilities for improvement.
• Recruit and develop senior leaders as the organization grows.
• Identify opportunities to improve profitability, margins and efficiency.
• Partner with the CEO on strategic planning, budgets and growth initiatives.
• Develop scalable processes and infrastructure to support growth.
• Leadership may extend to marketing, logistics, production, supply chain, design.
• Increase day-to-day management scope to allow CEO to focus on strategy.
