Job summary

Formulate Robotics in Mountain View, CA seeks a Chief Operating Officer to lead growth through fundraising, finance, operations, go-to-market, and partnerships. The role demands high ambidexterity and a track record of scaling startups with AI and robotics expertise.

You will partner with the Founder/CEO to translate priorities into plans, build scalable systems, manage budgets and KPIs, and drive investor relations and strategic decisions. This is a full-time, in-person leadership role.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in startups, technology, investing, or operations.
• Experience fundraising directly or as part of an early-stage team.
• Strong financial and analytical abilities including operating plans and budgets.
• Experience building teams and scalable operating systems.
• Excellent commercial instincts and customer/investor engagement skills.
• Genuine interest in AI and robotics and belief in their economic impact.
• High agency and ability to move between strategy and execution.

Responsibilities

• Translate priorities into concrete plans with owners, timelines, and results.
• Own cross-functional problems and build organizational infra for growth.
• Lead Series A prep, fundraising strategy, investor materials, and diligence.
• Develop budgets, forecasts, KPIs, and company-level reporting.
• Shape pricing, proposals, pipeline management, and customer success.
