Job summary

Impel Consultants LLC seeks a commercially minded, mission-driven Chief Operating Officer for Education, EdTech & AI Transformation to steer operational strategy, organizational transformation and scalable delivery across a growing learning technology organization.

You will align people, processes, platforms and governance to achieve measurable learner outcomes, educator effectiveness and exceptional customer service while scaling both U.S. and international operations.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience as a COO/VP Operations or equivalent executive operations leader.
• Experience scaling teams, systems, and multi-site operations.
• Experience leading digital transformation and AI adoption in education tech or related fields.
• Strong program, project, portfolio management and PMO capabilities.
• Commercial and financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting and cost optimization.
• Experience with performance management, KPI development, OKRs, BI and data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise operational strategy, operating-model design, business planning and execution across education operations.
• Translate growth strategy into transformation roadmaps, KPIs, governance and measurable benefits.
• Drive business and operational transformation, AI adoption, automation and continuous improvement.
• Scale education operations, multi-site and partner operations with tech-enabled service delivery.
• Provide executive sponsorship for AI-enabled learning initiatives and platform programs.
• Establish governance for data quality, analytics, risk management and security.
• Build dashboards, reporting and KPI frameworks to improve decision-making and capacity planning.
• Lead cross-functional program management and delivery across teams.
