Job summary

Achievement First seeks a Chief Operating Officer to unify and scale operations across 41 public charter schools with a $45 million budget and 42 positions. The COO will set network-wide standards, lead facilities, enrollment, technology, and data, and partner with regional executives to drive reliable performance.

Ideal candidates have 15+ years of leadership experience in complex, multi-site organizations and a track record of transforming operational performance in education settings.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressively responsible operational leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a senior executive role.
• Experience leading complex, multi-site operations with accountability for multiple functional areas and senior leadership teams.
• Demonstrated success developing and implementing operational strategies, systems, and improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Set vision and standards for network-wide school environments and essential services.
• Lead design and implementation of common operational standards, processes, and accountability mechanisms.
• Oversee facilities, real estate, and external partnerships across multiple sites.
• Own enrollment and essential school services including transportation and safety.
• Guide technology, data, and information systems to enable data-driven decisions.
• Develop leaders and build organizational capacity with playbooks and coaching.
