Job summary

Performance Team in the United States (New Jersey) is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair conveyor systems and material handling equipment in a warehouse setting. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with conveyors, bearings, belts, motors, and gearboxes, can perform routine repairs, and works safely with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of industrial maintenance, manufacturing, distribution, warehouse, facilities, or related maintenance experience.
• Experience with conveyor systems including bearings, belts/chains, motors/gearboxes, rollers/conveyors, basic pneumatics/hydraulics.
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and standard maintenance equipment.
• Basic computer skills and ability to document work electronically.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain conveyor systems and material handling equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical components including bearings, belts, chains, motors, and gearboxes.
• Assist in troubleshooting basic electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Observe equipment operation and identify potential mechanical failures or performance issues.
• Remove, repair, or replace defective components to restore equipment functionality.
• Test equipment following repairs to verify proper operation.
• Assist with installation and modification of conveyors and related equipment.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders.
