Job summary

Performance Team is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to maintain and repair conveyor systems and material handling equipment in a warehouse environment. You will troubleshoot mechanical components, perform preventive maintenance, and support uptime initiatives while documenting findings and collaborating with maintenance leadership.

The role requires 1–3 years of related experience, the ability to work independently or as part of a team, and familiarity with hand and power tools.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of industrial maintenance, manufacturing, distribution, warehouse, facilities, or related maintenance experience.
• Experience working with conveyor systems.
• Working knowledge of bearings, belts and chains, motors and gearboxes, rollers and conveyors, basic pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and standard maintenance equipment.
• Basic computer skills and ability to document work electronically.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain conveyor systems and material handling equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical components including bearings, rollers, belts, chains, sprockets, motors, and gearboxes.
• Assist in troubleshooting basic electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Observe equipment operation and identify potential mechanical failures or performance issues.
• Remove, repair, or replace defective components to restore equipment functionality.
• Test equipment following repairs to verify safe and proper operation.
• Assist with installation and modification of conveyors and related equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance activities according to established schedules and procedures.
• Inspect equipment for wear, damage, misalignment, lubrication deficiencies, and other maintenance concerns.
• Complete lubrication, belt adjustments, component replacements, and routine maintenance activities.
• Document maintenance findings and report equipment concerns to maintenance leadership.
• Support efforts to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
