Job summary

OnTrac Nashville is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician II to support maintenance on conveyor systems in a fast-paced parcel sortation environment. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues, and drive corrective actions to reduce downtime.

The position requires knowledge of LOTO and OSHA requirements, and offers full-time hourly employment with a comprehensive benefits package in a 3:00pm–1:30am schedule.

Qualifications

• 1 year of related experience in industrial maintenance, automated conveyor systems, or material handling equipment.
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Welding and fabrication experience preferred.
• Knowledge of LOTO, OSHA requirements, PM programs, and safe electrical practices.
• Ability to lift 60 pounds routinely.
• Current driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper operation of conveyor systems and material handling equipment to keep operations running smoothly; respond to breakdowns promptly.
• Maintain and provide routine preventive maintenance to conveyor systems.
• Change and repair parts, rebuild and align equipment, gears, shafts, pulleys, belts.
• Use illustrated parts breakdown manuals and operational manuals for repair and maintenance.
• Perform housekeeping duties and daily inspections of machinery.
• May be called in after hours to ensure systems operate at optimum capacity.
