Job summary

OnTrac is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician II to support maintenance activities in a fast-paced parcel sortation environment in Charlotte. You will help keep conveyors and material handling systems running safely and reliably, perform preventive maintenance, and drive corrective actions to reduce downtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical degree preferred.
• 1 year of related experience in industrial maintenance or conveyors.
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Experience in 24/7 operation and ability to lift 60 pounds.
• Proficiency reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper operation of conveyor systems and material handling equipment; respond to breakdowns promptly.
• Perform preventive maintenance on conveyor systems and related equipment.
• Change and repair parts, rebuild and align gears, shafts, pulleys, and belts.
• Consult illustrated manuals for repair, modification, and maintenance tasks.
• Maintain clean work areas and conduct daily equipment inspections.
• May be called in after hours to support operations and uptime.
• Uphold safety practices per the Company Safety Program.
• Collaborate with maintenance team to ensure shared goals.
