Job summary

Motion Industries in Tampa, FL is seeking a Field Service Technician for MI Conveyance Solutions. This full‑time role delivers mechanical service, repairs and installs conveyor belts and related equipment at customer sites.

You will fabricate belts in shop, perform rigging, basic millwright tasks, diagnose problems, assist with upgrades, and provide on-site technical support while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a technical degree and 0–3 years of related experience.
• Demonstrates ability to read measuring and equipment and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate lightweight and/or heavyweight belts in shop.
• Performs rigging to facilitate lifting of belt rolls, presses and tooling on/off conveyors.
• Performs basic millwright tasks such as torch heating and cutting and removal/installation of conveyor components.
• Serves as customer contact on technical and service-related issues.
• Diagnose problems with equipment, assess extent, document findings, and decide on repair/parts replacement.
• Provide on-site services for new and existing clients, including emergency repairs and upgrades.
• Drive company vehicles per policy within one year of start date; DOT preferred.
