Job summary

Motion Industries, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, repair, and maintain conveyor systems at customer sites. You will perform belt installation, splicing, and preventive maintenance, with on-site service and occasional emergency calls.

Strong mechanical skills and ability to work with customers are essential. The role requires reading gauges, operating shop equipment, and safe handling of lifts; on-site duties, 2–4 days per week, with potential 24/7 on-call shifts.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a technical degree and 0–3 years related experience.
• Equivalents considered with related training and hands-on work.

Responsibilities

• Performs on-site belt installation, splicing, and preventative maintenance; occasional emergency repairs.
• Fabricate lightweight and/or heavyweight belts in shop.
• Performs rigging to lift belt rolls, presses and tooling on/off conveyors.
• Performs basic millwright tasks including torch heating and cutting and installing conveyor components.
• Serves as customer contact on technical and service-related issues.
• Follows detailed guidelines to work on moderately complex repairs and installations.
• Ensures safety and regulatory compliance and Motion safety standards.
• Provides on-site services for new and existing clients, including emergencies 24/7.
• Willingness to drive company vehicles; DOT preferred.
• Adheres to drug-free workplace and other regulatory requirements.
