Job summary

Motion is seeking MI Conveyance Solutions Field Service Technicians to deliver on-site mechanical service for conveyor belts and related equipment at customer sites. You will install, repair, and maintain belts, perform rigging and basic millwright tasks, and provide technical support to customers.

This role requires a technical degree and up to three years of related experience, with emphasis on safety, compliance with regulations, and effective communication with customers and teams.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a technical degree and 0–3 years of related experience.
• Ability to read measurements and perform basic math.
• Experience operating shop equipment and hand power tools safely.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site belt installation, splicing, and preventative maintenance, and occasional call-outs for emergency repairs.
• Fabricate belts in shop and assist with rigging to move belt rolls, presses, and tooling on and off conveyor systems.
• Diagnose problems, document findings, and decide whether to repair or replace parts.
• Communicate technical information to customers and stakeholders; ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
