Job summary

Motion Industries, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician for MI Conveyance Solutions to service and repair conveyor belts and related mechanical equipment.

You will diagnose, repair, and maintain belt cleaner systems, align components, and perform precision measurements in varied environments, including on-site and in shop settings. The role requires welding proficiency (GTAW/SMAW/GMAW/FCAW), blueprint reading, and strong safety awareness.

Qualifications

• Must pass a welding test.
• Experience with GTAW, SMAW, GMAW, FCAW welding.
• Hand tools mastery including tape measures and measurement.

Responsibilities

• Weld in diverse environments on-site or in shop (Arc TIG/MIG).
• Evaluate conveyor systems to select belt cleaner type and blade material.
• Properly tension and adjust belt cleaners and associated systems.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and manuals to determine procedures.
• Inspect and test machinery to diagnose issues with precision instruments.
• Dismantle and reassemble machinery for repairs, perform routine maintenance.
