Job summary

MOTION Industries, Inc. provides MI Conveyance Solutions Field Service Technicians who perform on-site belt installation, splicing, and preventative maintenance to keep customer conveyor systems running smoothly.

Technicians fabricate belts, perform basic millwright tasks, and diagnose equipment issues while maintaining safety standards and regulatory compliance at customer sites, including 24/7 on-call services.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a technical degree and 0–3 years of related experience.
• Ability to read measuring equipment and perform basic math.
• Ability to operate shop equipment safely.
• Trainable to operate manlifts, forklifts and hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Performs on-site belt installation, splicing, and preventative maintenance.
• Fabricates belts in shop and assists with installations.
• Performs rigging to lift belt rolls, presses and tooling.
• Serves as customer contact on technical and service-related issues.
• Diagnoses problems, documents findings, and decides repairs or parts replacement.
• Provides technical support and training to customers on system equipment.
