Job summary

A.P. Moller - Maersk is seeking an experienced Technical Maintenance Mechanic to join our maintenance team in Stockton, CA.

This role focuses on advanced troubleshooting, repair, installation, and preventive maintenance of conveyor systems and facility support equipment within a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, extensive conveyor experience, and the ability to diagnose complex equipment failures.

Qualifications

4+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment.
Extensive conveyor system troubleshooting experience.
Ability to read schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manuals.
Experience with multimeters and precision measuring tools.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic controls-related issues on material handling equipment.
Maintain and repair conveyor systems, sortation equipment, gearboxes, motors, VFDs, sensors, bearings, chains, belts, rollers, actuators, cylinders, and other components.
Inspect equipment to identify wear patterns, lubrication deficiencies, and potential failures before breakdowns occur.
Read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals; escalate PLC/control issues when needed.
Assist with installation, commissioning, and modification of conveyor systems and facility equipment.
