Job summary

LGG INDUSTRIAL in Macon, GA is seeking an entry-level Field Service Technician to install and splice conveyor belts and related components on customer sites. This full-time, non-exempt role requires travel to out-of-town jobs and a strong commitment to safety.

You will perform splices and installations, support field service and warehouse tasks, and work under the Field Service Supervisor. A high school diploma, valid driver's license, and basic mechanical skills are required.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• High school diploma/GED.
• Reliable transportation is a must.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to safely drive a Company truck.
• Ability to travel on regular basis.
• Background checks, drug screening, and a physical may be required by Company, Customer or DOT requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain 100% commitment to safety policies and procedures.
• Work closely with Field Service Supervisors and team members in attaining goals and objectives.
• Good understanding of overall Quality process and documentation.
• Communicate general and quality-related concerns to management.
• Provide onsite customer service.
• Perform conveyor belt installation with mechanical or vulcanized splice.
• Perform hose testing as needed.
• Understand tools and machinery applicable to the job.
• Travel is required part of job.
• Perform other duties as trained and qualified for.
