Job summary

Jasper Engines in Jasper, IN is seeking a detail-oriented disassembly associate. You will disassemble cut converters with basic hand tools and a grinder, and load components into a washer.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs and fast, accurate work with strong communication. The ideal candidate has lathe experience and comfort with air tools; work is 6:30am-3:00pm, Monday through Friday, in a climate-controlled environment.

Qualifications

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
• Stand/walk for 8–10 hours.
• Experience with handheld tools (drills, impacts, hammers, calipers, micrometers).
• Willing to operate a lathe and grinding tools.
• Detail-oriented with safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble converters using basic hand tools and a grinder.
• Load/unload components into a washer.
• Cut open up to 140+ converters daily using a lathe.

Job Overview:

The disassembly position is very detail-oriented and labor intensive. This position is responsible for the disassembly of the cut converter utilizing basic hand tools and a grinder. This position will also be responsible for loading and unloading components into a washer. This position may require lifting up to 50lbs. Associates must be fast paced and communicate effectively. This position is responsible for cutting open of up to 140+ converters daily utilizing a lathe. The ideal candidate would have lathe experience and experience using air tools. This position requires an individual who can lift constantly and has good focus.

Schedule:

• Monday - Friday 6:30am-3:00pm

Qualifications

• The ability to lift, bend, push, pull and move materials up to 50lbs.
• The ability to stand or walk an entire shift (can be approx... 8-10 hours)
• The ability to use handheld tools such as drills, impacts, hammers, calipers, and micrometers.
• Walking: Occasionally
• Stooping (forward leaning): Occasionally
• Reaching/Working Overhead: Occasionally

• Starting rate $20.00 + based on experience.
