Job summary

TPG Hotels and Resorts in Atlanta seeks a Convention Services Manager to plan, coordinate, and execute events, conferences, and conventions hosted at the hotel. You will be the main client liaison, manage event logistics, and ensure a seamless guest experience in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires excellent communication, multitasking, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with other departments, vendors, and clients to deliver customized event packages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
• Experience in event planning, preferably in hotel/convention center.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and local regulations.
• Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Client Relationship Management: Serve as the main contact for clients and event planners.
• Understand and anticipate client needs, ensuring high satisfaction.
• Collaborate with clients to design and customize event packages.
• Address and resolve issues during events.
• Participate in client presentations and property tours.
• Event Planning and Coordination: Plan and execute all aspects of events, including room setup, catering, A/V equipment, and special requests.
• Create detailed event timelines and ensure all requirements are met.
• Coordinate logistics for events, including room layout and equipment setup.
• Partner with departments to ensure staffing coverage.
• Liaise with vendors for timely delivery of services.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records and generate post-event reports.
