Job summary

Kewadin Casinos in the United States is seeking a Sales Manager who reports to the VP of Marketing and Sales. You will review sales strategy to maximize occupancy levels and the average room rate, and oversee convention group business for assigned market segments with prospecting, solicitation, and account oversight.

You will provide attentive, cheerful, professional customer service to internal and external customers, negotiate contracts and rates, route requests to the proper departments,

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's preferred in related fields.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year sales, 3 years preferred.
• Certification/License: Background check required under National Indian Gaming Commission rules.
• Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication, leadership, and ability to travel to trade shows; customer service focus.
• Native American preferred.

Responsibilities

• Solicits new business, responds and creates proposals.
• Negotiates contracts, hotel rates, Audio Visual services, and additional services.
• Routes and delegates functions from the meeting planner to the proper department.
• Travels to trade shows and represents Kewadin and its products and services.
• Attends pre and post-convention meetings and reviews accounts for billing.
• Collects payment for events and enters bookings into PMS.
• Prepares, writes, and maintains quarterly sales reports.
• Verifies billing prior to settlement.
