Job summary

Legends Global is seeking an on-site security professional to manage crowd flow, perform bag checks, screening and ushering, ensuring guests’ safety and adherence to venue policies.

You will handle ID/ticket verification, direct seating, respond to emergencies, and report unsafe conditions. The role requires excellent customer service, clear communication, and the ability to work with minimal supervision, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Ability to work with minimal supervision and handle crowd situations calmly.

Responsibilities

• Bag checking to ensure no contraband is permitted in the venue.
• Security screening via pat downs, use of walk-through metal detectors or wand screening.
• Ensuring patrons have valid ID or ticket for admittance.
• Ensuring patrons do not enter non-public areas.
• Directs and interacts with the public, fellow employees and management.
• Assist with seating and directions as required.
• Follow emergency protocols for medical, fire, active shooter, evacuation or other emergencies.
• Observe, detect, correct and report unsafe conditions on the premises.
• Deal appropriately with customer complaints and rule violations.
• Work independently, judge and respond to situations within facility guidelines.
• Provide written witness reports as required.

Job description

This position is responsible for crowd management at the facility. This may include security screenings, ticket taking, ushering, access control, emergency response, ensuring the safety of guests, enforcing venue policies, ensuring the safety of 3rd party property and other duties as assigned.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Bag checking to ensure no contraband is permitted in the venue
• Security screening via pat downs, the use of walk-through metal detectors or wand screening
• Ensuring patrons entering the venue have a valid ID or ticket for gaining admittance
• Ensuring patrons do not enter non-public areas
• Directs and interacts with the public, fellow employees and management
• Assist with seating and directions as required
• Follows emergency protocols in the case of medical, fire, active shooter, evacuation or other emergency situations
• Observe, detect, correct and report any unsafe conditions on the premises
• Appropriately deal with customer complaints, patrons negatively impacting other attendees and/or patrons not conforming to venue policies
• Works independently, and judges and assesses situations for immediate response within the guidelines of the facility
• Provide for written witness report as required

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or GED required

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Strong customer service skills
• Good written, verbal and interpersonal skills required; ability to interact with all levels of staff including management
• Professional presentation, appearance and work ethic
• Ability to work flexible hours including daytime, evening, overnight, weekends and holidays, as needed
• Must be able to speak, read and write English
• Must be at least 18 years old

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position will require a large amount of standing, walking, climbing, and stooping. Position requires work in both indoor and outdoor settings. This position may be subjected to adverse conditions, including contact from hostile people.

$16.80
