Job summary

Brenton LLC, part of ProMach, seeks a Controls Technician to commission, test, and debug packaging equipment, providing electrical and controls support to mechanical leads, service teams, and customers. Travel up to 35% for machine installation and commissioning is required.

You will troubleshoot Allen Bradley PLCs, Fanuc robots, HMIs, and related systems, update diagrams, and ensure safety and electrical standards are met. Strong communication and CAD reading skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs, Fanuc robotics, I/O devices, VFDs, servos, HMIs, pneumatics, safety circuits, vision, and industrial networks.
• Experience with RsLogix500, RsLogix5000, and FactoryTalk Studio ME.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and 2D/3D AutoCAD drawings.
• Good verbal and written communication; works well independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot PLC, robotic and HMI programs for new and retrofit projects.
• Collaborate with electrical designers on updating electrical schematics.
• Commission, test and debug robotic systems at Brenton facility.
• Ensure Brenton electrical standards are followed in controls designs.
• Provide technical support to customers in the field and via phone.
