Job summary

GALLO, a family-owned company with a 90+ year legacy, is seeking an Instrumentation and Controls Technician in South Carolina. You will install, maintain, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and related equipment to keep daily operations safe and efficient.

Ideal candidates have PLC experience, electrical testing skills, and a strong safety mindset. This on-site role requires shift flexibility (2-2-3 nights) and collaboration with operations and maintenance teams to drive reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• Requires 2 year technical degree in electrical technology or equivalent plus PLC experience.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and documentation.
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, and control systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong safety mindset and ability to work on-site across shifts.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot plant instrumentation and control systems.
• Diagnose and resolve PLC and HMI issues to minimize downtime.
• Review PLC and HMI data and support code changes under supervision.
• Contribute to equipment improvements and capital projects.
• Collaborate with operations and maintenance across teams.
