The position offers a 2nd shift schedule (Mon-Fri) with potential for overtime during busy seasons, a starting hourly rate of $28/hr including a $3/hr shift differential, and opportunities for annual pay increases along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of on-the-job experience in a related field or a 2-year technical degree.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Proficient in using maintenance tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic preventive maintenance on equipment and systems.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues using standard measurement tools.
• Understand fluid power basics and integrate into machines.
• Maintain documentation and create new ones as needed.
• Conduct basic fabrication and maintenance with instruction.

Quanex is looking for aControls Technician - 2nd Shift to join our team located inRice Lake, WI.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 2:30pm-11:00pm| Overtime needs vary daily during the busy season.

The hourly range for this position begins at $28/hr (this is including a $3/hr shift differential) withopportunity for pay increase on an annual basis.

What Success Looks Like:

• Basic mechanical and fabrication skills with the ability to complete basic PMs
• Understands fluid power basics and can integrate them into machines
• Ability to troubleshoot effectively and uses correct measurement tools to identify problems
• Has basic knowledge of industrial controls and wiring practices
• Has understanding of PLC, HMI, and variable speed drive programming and installation
• Is meticulous in maintaining existing documentation and developing new documents as needed
• Can perform basic fabrication and maintenance with instruction

Your Credentials:
