Job summary

Torrey Holistics is seeking a skilled Controls Technician to support maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of automated manufacturing equipment at our North Vernon, IN facility. Pay rate ranges from 55k-65k annually, with a 2nd shift schedule.

You will diagnose and repair PLC-controlled systems, read electrical schematics, and participate in automation upgrades and process improvements. The role requires an associate degree or technical certification and 3+ years in industrial

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience maintaining industrial controls in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, sensors, and motor controls.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Omron, or Mitsubishi PLC platforms.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain PLC-controlled production equipment and automated systems.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, controls, and instrumentation issues to minimize equipment downtime.
• Program, modify, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and industrial control systems.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on automation and electrical equipment.
• Read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, ladder logic, and technical documentation.
• Install, configure, and test electrical control panels, sensors, motors, and instrumentation devices.
• Support new equipment installations, automation upgrades, and process improvement initiatives.
• Assist with root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurring equipment failures.
