Job summary

Integrity Trade Services is hiring a Controls Technician for our automotive manufacturing client in Portland, MI, on 2nd shift (2:30pm – 11:00pm) at $41.72/hr. Direct hire with comprehensive benefits.

You will support PLCs, HMIs, robotics, CNC controls, and electrical systems, and you will program and troubleshoot to keep equipment safe and efficient. Qualifications include AS degree in Controls Engineering or related field and 3–5 years of controls experience, preferably in manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Controls Engineering or related field preferred.
• Three to five years of controls-related experience preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong understanding of PCs, PLCs, CNC controls, and related automation technologies.
• Experience using CAD software and electrical-drawing systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, operate, troubleshoot, repair and maintain plant electrical and automated systems including PLCs, HMIs, robotics, CNC controls.
• Make electrical-system modifications to improve safety, performance and efficiency.
• Maintain and organize electrical schematics and prints; update documentation.
• Program, revise and support PLCs, HMIs and robots as required.
• Lead troubleshooting of malfunctioning equipment and restore to safe operating condition.
• Support continuous-improvement projects and automation initiatives across the plant.
• Provide controls and automation support to Plant Maintenance for preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Follow all company policies and state code requirements.

Receive comprehensive benefits through our client upon hire!Responsibilities:The Controls Technician supports the installation, operation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of a wide variety of plant electrical and automated manufacturing systems.
