Job summary

Torrey Holistics is seeking a skilled Controls Technician to support maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of automated manufacturing equipment at our North Vernon, IN facility. Pay rate ranges from 55k-65k annually, with a 2nd shift schedule.

You will diagnose and repair PLC-controlled systems, read electrical schematics, and participate in automation upgrades and process improvements. The role requires an associate degree or technical certification and 3+ years in industrial

Qualifications

Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or related field.
3+ years of experience maintaining industrial controls in manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, sensors, and motor controls.
Experience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Omron, or Mitsubishi PLC platforms.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain PLC-controlled production equipment and automated systems.
Diagnose and resolve electrical, controls, and instrumentation issues to minimize equipment downtime.
Program, modify, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and industrial control systems.
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on automation and electrical equipment.
Read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, ladder logic, and technical documentation.
Install, configure, and test electrical control panels, sensors, motors, and instrumentation devices.
Support new equipment installations, automation upgrades, and process improvement initiatives.
Assist with root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurring equipment failures.
