Job summary

Smart Building Technologies, LLC is seeking a Controls Technician to service EMS/BAS systems in the Fort Myers area. You’ll handle service installations, upgrades, and programming tweaks, ensuring optimal performance and reliability of critical building systems.

This role offers opportunities to advance skills and work with a forward‑looking team. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues with the service team, and push your programming capabilities to become a self-sufficient

Qualifications

• 4+ years in HVAC or related field including HVAC and DDC systems.
• Deep understanding of BAS control components, control strategies, and programming.
• Tridium Certification and Distech experience would be a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert service to EMS/BAS systems for optimal performance.
• Participate in service installation projects from sensor/relay upgrades to programming tweaks and controller replacements.
• Conduct proactive preventive maintenance visits to safeguard systems.
• Collaborate with service team to troubleshoot, resolve, and verify issues.
• Develop programming skills to become a self-sufficient service expert, even with limited remote support.

What you’ll do:

• Provide expert service to our existing EMS/BAS systems to ensure optimal performance.

• Conduct proactive preventive maintenance visits, safeguarding our systems and ensuring they operate flawlessly.

What we hope you bring to the table:

• Experience: 4+ years in an industry-related field, including HVAC Systems and DDC Systems
• Know-How: Deep understanding of BAS control components, control strategies, and programming.
• Software Proficiency: Tridium Certification and Distech experience would be a plus, but not a requirement. :
