Job summary

Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. in Florida is seeking a Controls Systems Engineer I to design, review, and test control systems for large frame gas turbines, integrating DCS/PLC/SCADA solutions and scalable HMI displays.

You will collaborate with engineering, operations, procurement, sales, customers, suppliers, and contractors to meet technical, cost, and schedule requirements. Responsibilities include field support during FAT, commissioning, and startup; troubleshooting, root-cause analysis,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or 5+ years of controls experience.
Experience with industrial control systems (DCS/PLC/SCADA) in power generation.
Knowledge of UL 508A, NFPA 70/79, CSA C22.1, IEC 60204-1, NEMA.
Proficiency in C# or Visual Basic .NET.
Experience with HMI graphics and design.

Responsibilities

Design, review, and enhance control systems including new concepts and retrofits.
Configure control systems, HMIs, databases and components.
Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Procurement, Sales, and customers to meet requirements.
Develop RFQs and technical specs for equipment procurement.
Support FAT, field installation, startup and commissioning.
Troubleshoot issues and perform root cause analysis.
Ensure health, safety and quality compliance across activities.
Prepare technical reports and recommendations.
Deliver classroom and on-the-job training on control systems.
