Job summary

Mitsubishi Power Americas is seeking a Control Systems Engineer II to support design, reviews, and commissioning of control systems for gas turbine projects in the Americas. You will collaborate with design, operations, and procurement teams to ensure project milestones are met and systems meet standards.

The role includes customer training, field support, and occasional travel, with emphasis on safety, quality, and continuous improvement in a dynamic energy environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent with relevant experience in control disciplines.
• Strong knowledge of industrial networking protocols (TCP/IP, VLANs) and ability to troubleshoot.
• Hands-on experience with DCS/PLC platforms and patching/configuration.
• Familiarity with Modbus, OPC and time synchronization.
• Experience with FAT/SAT and field installation support.

Responsibilities

• Design and review new control system concepts and assist in development of control systems.
• Maintain and modify existing control systems to meet project requirements.
• Collaborate with design, operations, purchasers, and other stakeholders to support project execution.
• Liaise with clients and authorities within cost/time constraints and ensure safety/quality compliance.
• Provide on-site installation support and start-up commissioning; travel up to 10%.
• Prepare reports on conditions, actions, and results.
