Job summary

Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. is seeking a Controls Systems Engineer I in Lake Mary, FL. The role develops and tests control systems for large frame gas turbines, providing on-site and remote support, training, and technical documentation.

You will work with DCS/PLC/SCADA platforms, HMI design, and control software, collaborating with engineering, procurement, and customers to meet schedule and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or 5+ years in controls.
• Experience with DCS/PLC/SCADA and related protocols.
• Familiar with UL 508A, NFPA 70/79, CSA C22.1, IEC 60204-1, NEMA.
• Programming/automation with C# and/or Visual Basic .NET preferred.
• Experience with control panel design, I/O, and retrofits.

Responsibilities

• Design, review, and enhance control systems and HMIs.
• Configure control systems and databases, including HMI screens.
• Collaborate across Engineering, Operations, Procurement, Sales, and Projects.
• Develop RFQs and technical requirements for equipment procurement.
• Support FAT inspections and field installations.
• Troubleshoot control systems and perform root-cause analysis.
• Ensure health, safety, and quality requirements are met.
• Prepare technical reports on system conditions and actions.
• Deliver training for Mitsubishi control systems.
