Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks an experienced Controls Project Manager to lead on-site projects, coordinating hardware/software installation, commissioning, and client communication. You will drive project profitability and schedule adherence while maintaining the highest safety standards.

The role requires a technical associate’s degree and field experience, with opportunities to mentor teams and develop long-term client relationships across the SSNA market.

Qualifications

• Technical associate’s degree required with 2+ years field experience (PM I) or 4+ years in related field (PM II).
• Experience with access control, fire, video systems design and commissioning.
• Ability to perform work independently and demonstrate applicable licensing and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute and complete projects with assigned customers in a safe, cost-effective manner.
• Manage project scope, costs, billings, and collections to ensure profitability.
• Coordinate with customer, subcontractors, and Johnson Controls staff through all project phases.
• Provide on-site leadership, installation coordination, and commissioning of system controllers.
• Develop plans, schedules, and resource requirements for timely project completion.
• Mentor technicians and designers; ensure compliance with safety standards and AHJ regulations.
