Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks an experienced Controls Project Manager to lead on-site HVAC control systems projects, coordinating design, programming, installation, commissioning and project closeout.

You will manage budgets, communicate with customers, and guide subcontractors while ensuring safety and quality across all phases. A technical degree with hands-on HVAC controls experience is required, with strong leadership and communication skills being essential.

Qualifications

• Technical Associates Degree with 4+ years field experience or 6 years equivalent in HVAC/Building Automation.
• Hands-on experience in design and commissioning of digital HVAC/building automation controls.
• Ability to lead projects, communicate with clients, and work independently.
• Knowledge of control theory and HVAC/Building Automation systems.
• Proficiency in Windows and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and complete control systems projects on site.
• Provide direction to subcontractors and technicians.
• Manage project costs, billings, and collections.
• Coordinate with customers through all phases and pursue change orders.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Develop project plans and resource coordination.
• Perform site-specific training and provide documentation.
• Lead commissioning of system controllers.
