Job summary

FieldCore in Cambridge, MA, part of GE Vernova, offers an entry-level Field Engineering Program (FEP). You'll develop technical expertise, lean thinking, and leadership, through in-person and online training, on-the-job training, and mentorship from experienced TFA's, with opportunities to travel and grow into a TFA Controls role.

During the program you will support installation, commissioning, and maintenance of heavy-duty turbines and equipment, learn PLCs and plant systems, and advance toward

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent required.
• Strong ability to read and interpret electrical/mechanical diagrams.
• Understand PLC ladder logic and basic troubleshooting approaches.
• Basic networking knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety mindset and ensure work meets GE safety standards.
• Travel to and between project sites for field assignments.
• Work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed by field assignments.
• Manage on-site controls activities during installation, commissioning, and maintenance of turbines/equipment (e.g., MKVIe, MKVI, MKV).
• Read and interpret P&ID drawings.
• Provide timely internal and external reports and guidance on complex projects.
• Support customers with technical direction and OEM packaged products.
