Job summary

GAF invites applications for a Controls Engineering Co-Op to join our new Newton plant team in Kansas. You will contribute to materials QA, troubleshooting, and data-driven analysis while collaborating with engineers from multiple disciplines.

You will rotate through assignments, produce formal reports, and support the design and commissioning of the facility. A STEM degree pursuit and strong academic record are required.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 2.8 GPA and sophomore standing required.
• Ability to generate accurate and concise technical reports.
• Strong problem solving, project management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform raw material quality assurance activities and material performance.
• Conduct problem solving investigations and troubleshoot root causes.
• Support quality improvement initiatives with suppliers.
• Provide technical support and analytical analysis for material issues.
• Engage with data flow diagrams and technical diagrams.
