Job summary
General Motors in Ohio is seeking an Electrical/Controls Engineer to analyze, troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems in our manufacturing operations. You will design and modify control circuits and programs, and lead cross-functional problem solving on complex processes.
This 2nd shift role requires PLC/HMI programming, servo and VFD troubleshooting, robotics knowledge, and strong analytical and communication skills to drive continuous improvement and safety in our plant.
Qualifications
- BS in electrical/computer engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in PLC and HMI programming.
- Troubleshooting servo and VFD systems.
- Experience with robotics is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Analyze, troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems in manufacturing operations.
- Design and modify electrical control circuits and programs.
- Lead technical problem solving with cross-functional teams to drive improvements.
- Troubleshoot and support production equipment malfunctions.
- Oversee electrical project installations and contractor work.
- Collaborate across levels to manage multiple projects with autonomy.
