Job summary

Production Products, Inc. in Columbus Grove, Ohio, is seeking an Electrical Controls professional for a 3rd shift role. You will design and program electrical controls, maintain software, and troubleshoot issues on press, robotic, and weld machines.

You will support production to reduce downtime and scrap while coordinating electrical projects. Ideal candidates have a relevant engineering degree (or equivalent) and experience in design, programming, and onsite installation of control systems,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering or related field.
• Three years toward a relevant bachelor’s degree with four years of experience.
• Any equivalent combination of education, experience and training considered.
• Experience to include design and programming control systems and onsite installation of systems.

Responsibilities

• Propose process specifications and electrical design standards; develop and implement software changes to improve production capabilities.
• Design and maintain electrical controls and software.
• Troubleshoot electrical control issues for press, robotic and weld machines.
• Support production in reducing downtime or scrap.
• Coordinate, plan and implement all electrical controls related projects.
• Participate in training and travel for follow-up procedures.
• Review and approve processes for production workflows for supervisor approval.
• Has authority to stop production operations for safety or quality concerns.
• Participate in production and shift-to-shift meetings.
