Job summary

Gallo Glass, located in California near Modesto, seeks a skilled Controls Specialist to design, program, deploy, and continuously improve OT controls for safe and efficient operations.

You will manage electrical design, panel construction, PLC programming, HMI design, and system start-up through validation, aligning with GFMP standards and security policies. Collaboration with teams and vendors is essential to translate data into actionable recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree + 4 years in controls programming, plc controls and logic circuits.
• OR high school diploma + 8 years in controls programming plc controls and logic circuits.
• Understands basic engineering and can follow standard work.
• Effectively presents ideas verbally.
• Must demonstrate active hands-on programming experience in the past 10 years.
• Intermediate MS Excel, MS Outlook and MS PowerPoint.
• 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Design, program, deploy, and improve controls systems for safe, reliable, efficient operations.
• Support full project lifecycle: electrical design, panel construction, machine installation, PLC programming, HMI design, startup, validation.
• Implement reliable OT security, access, and obsolescence management aligned with GALLO standards.
• Develop proposals and presentations linking technical solutions to business benefits, timelines, and budgets.
• Collaborate with internal customers, vendors, and teams to meet requirements and remove roadblocks.
