Job summary
Cleanwater1, Inc. in California seeks an experienced Controls Engineer to design, develop, and implement industrial automation and SCADA systems.
You will work across the full lifecycle from requirements to FAT/SAT, interfacing with clients and vendors. The ideal candidate has 5–8 years in industrial automation, strong PLC/SCADA skills (Ignition, Rockwell/AB, Siemens) and practical networking knowledge; you will lead projects and deliver robust automation solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer or Chemical Engineering.
- 5–8 years in industrial automation and controls engineering.
- Hands-on experience with PLCs (ControlLogix/CompactLogix) and Ignition SCADA.
- Experience with OPC-UA, TCP/IP, Modbus TCP/RTU, and industrial networking.
- Ability to develop and troubleshoot templates and UDTs.
Responsibilities
- Define functional requirements via client workshops and site assessments.
- Develop designs, control strategies, and integration architectures for automation & SCADA.
- Program, configure, test PLCs and Ignition SCADA; support HMI solutions.
- Install, configure Ignition SCADA, licensing, scripting, reporting, and SQL transactions.
- Coordinate FAT, SAT, UAT and validate system performance.
- Troubleshoot industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, OPC-UA) and remote access.
