Job summary
Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope Texas is seeking a Controls Engineer to improve existing and commission new metal processing equipment, reporting to the Director of Engineering. This role serves as a key resource for plant-level automation, with a focus on PLC programming, troubleshooting, and modernization of automation systems.

Qualifications
- 3–5+ years in controls engineering or industrial automation.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs.
- Knowledge of NFPA, ANSI, and ISO standards.
- Experience with commissioning, upgrades, and legacy PLC migrations preferred.
Responsibilities
- Maintain process efficiency and support high-volume manufacturing.
- Program, troubleshoot, and optimize Allen-Bradley PLC-based control systems.
- Assist with commissioning new equipment and retrofits.
- Investigate controls-related issues affecting safety, downtime, and reliability.
- Leverage data to identify improvements and develop automated reporting.
